Certificate of Service
Template:Template Certificate of Service
Summary:A document promising a document was delivered to the other spouse

A Certificate of Service is something one spouse signs promising they sent a legal document to someone, usually by mail. Generally, every time you file something with the court, you need to also file a certificate of service promising you mailed a copy of the same documents to your spouse's attorney (if they have one) or directly to your spouse. A certificate of service is also used with discovery documents that are not filed with the court. Certificates of Service are probably the single most prolific legal document in litigation. You can find a template Certificate of Service here.
