Complaint
Statute:§ 50-8
TemplateUnique to each case
DescriptionA Complaint is the document where a spouse describes their legal claims and the facts that support them.
TakeawayMake sure you allege facts sufficient to meet every requirement of each legal claim asserted.

A Complaint is the main document where one spouse describes their legal claims against the other spouse, and the facts that support those claims. It is important that for each claim made (child support, alimony, etc.) the Complaint contain factual allegations that, if true, would justify that claim under law. Otherwise, your spouse could dismiss your claim under the premise that, even if everything in the Complaint were true, it is not enough to meet the requirements to justify that claim.
