A Verification is a signed and notarized document where a spouse promises what they said in another document is true. Most divorce-related lawsuits require a Verification be attached to the Complaint or with an Answer and Counterclaims. The Complaint or Counterclaims documents are the main documents at the start of a lawsuit that put forth the spouse's legal claims and the factual basis for supporting them.
