A Verification is a signed and notarized document where a spouse promises what they said in another document is true. Most divorce-related lawsuits require a Verification be attached to the Complaints or with an Answer and Counterclaims. These are the main documents at the start of the lawsuit where each spouse puts forth their legal claims and the factual basis supporting them.
